Prison riots and massacres
Riots and massacres in Peruvian prisons in 1985, 1986 and 1992 due to degrading conditions
The prison situation, poorly attended by the judges of penal execution, gave rise to riots and massacres in prisons where terrorism convicts were held. These events occurred in 1985, 1986 and 1992. The degrading conditions of human dignity in the prisons were not at all conducive to the rehabilitation of the inmates. Those sentenced for terrorism suffered inhumane conditions during this period.
