Fujimori resigns as president from Japan
Alberto Fujimori Fujimori travels to Asia from where he announces his resignation. On November 19, the president of the Council of Ministers, Federico Salas Guevara, officially and definitively confirms that the president of the Republic, Alberto Fujimori Fujimori Fujimori, will present his resignation before Congress. After the announcement, the Joint Command of the Armed Forces issued a communiqué declaring its respect for the Political Constitution and civilian authorities.
