"The Fall of Fujimori" (Fall of Fujimori). Documentary
Documentary directed by American filmmaker Ellen Perry and produced by the HBO network, recounting the origins of Alberto Fujimori, his rise to the presidency, and his subsequent role as head of a corrupt and dictatorial state. Through a chronological account of events, the film shows the influence of Vladimiro Montesinos on Fujimori, the institutionalization of corruption in the country, up to the fall of the regime when Fujimori decided to take refuge in Japan and resign from the presidency of Peru by fax.
