The Congress approves with 47 votes in favor and 11 against the General Amnesty Bill (26479) which will benefit those sentenced for criminal acts during the fight against terrorism and the attempted coup of November 13, 1992. The law also includes acts of infidelity and insult to the nation and the Armed Forces during the border conflict. President Alberto Fujimori Fujimori signed the law that same day.
