Second dismissal of Cantuta trial in military courts
Military Justice again dismissed Cantuta trial on July 6, 1995
On July 6, 1995, the War Chamber of the Supreme Council of Military Justice issued a second resolution ordering the dismissal of the proceedings in the La Cantuta case, arguing that the crime had been proven but not the responsibility of the defendants. This resolution was confirmed by the Review Chamber of the Supreme Council of Military Justice on July 26, 1995, consolidating impunity for those responsible for the executions and disappearances in La Cantuta.
