Transfer of detainees to the Pampa Cangallo Military Base.
Military transferred four detainees from Chuschi to Pampa Cangallo Base; they have been missing ever since
In the early morning of March 15, 1991, the military patrol transferred the four detainees from Chuschi to the Pampa Cangallo counter-subversive base. Family members followed the patrol and watched as the detainees were taken along a bridle path to a river that led to the back of the military base, where they entered. Since then, Manuel Pacotaype Chaupin, Martín Cayllahua Galindo, Marcelo Cabana Tucno and Isaías Huamán Vilca have been missing. The military personnel systematically denied having the detainees.
