Violence, Memory and Imagination. Uchuraccay and Lucanamarca in Peru's Political Violence
Violence, memory, and representation are the three axes of analysis of this thesis for the degree of Master of Arts (History) at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. These levels are approached from the personal, communal, and national historical perspective. The study examines political violence in Peru, where the Partido Comunista del Perú–Sendero Luminoso (SL) declared guerrilla war against the Peruvian State on May 17, 1980.
