Funeral of five members of the Húsares de Junín regiment
Burial in Lima of five of the six members of the Húsares de Junín regiment who died on June 3, 1989 after a bomb exploded on the bus transporting President Alan García's escort. The attack was attributed to the MRTA, which allegedly acted in retaliation for the confrontation at Los Molinos, Junín, on April 28 of that year, in which more than sixty emerretistas were killed in an Army ambush. As a result of the detonation, Víctor Camacho Ramos, José Janjachi Toribio, Roby Cavero Cárdenas, Elisman Cueva Luiulla, Marco Ojeda Cárdenas, and José Monforte perished.
