Promulgation of the Código Procesal Civil
In 1992, significant changes were made to the civil procedural system with the promulgation of the Código Procesal Civil. This new code aimed to address the inefficiencies of the previous system, which had been in place since 1912 and was characterized by excessive formality and delays. The new code sought to improve the efficiency and timeliness of conflict resolution.
Hasta 1992 existía en materia procesal civil un proceso anacrónico vigente desde 1912 que privilegiaba la formalidad excesiva y la escrituralidad en lugar de la inmediación, fomentando incidentes dilatorios que impedían una eficiente y oportuna solución de los conflictos. Esta situación cambió con la promulgación del Código Procesal Civil en 1992, que entró en vigencia al año siguiente.
