"Chavín de Huántar: at the end of the tunnel". TV film. Part 9
"Chavín de Huántar: al final del túnel" ("Chavín de Huántar: at the End of the Tunnel"). A made-for-TV film collecting the testimony of Peruvian army commandos who rescued the hostages from the Japanese Embassy in Lima — seized by members of the Movimiento Revolucionario Túpac Amaru between December 1996 and April 1997 — as well as from the hostages themselves. This is the official version of events disseminated by the government of the then-imprisoned former president Alberto Fujimori, who served as director and general producer of the video.
