"Tarata" is a Peruvian film directed by Fabrizio Aguilar, released in 2009. The film tells the story of a Peruvian middle-class family that becomes one of the victims of the largest terrorist attack carried out in the city of Lima by Sendero Luminoso: on July 16, 1992, two car bombs exploded in the heart of the Lima district of Miraflores, killing 25 people and injuring 200 others.
