Political Violence in Peru 1980–2000. Shining Path Against the State and Society. An Essay in the Anthropology of Violence
Text that presents and summarizes the research. "The elaboration of the book La violencia política en el Perú 1980-2000. Sendero Luminoso contra el Estado y la sociedad (Paris, L'Harmattan, May 2016) began in 2006, when I was able to resume my research in Peru, which I had to abandon in 1983, like many other colleagues of my generation. In those years, the internal armed conflict had spread dangerously and it was not possible to carry out field studies in a large part of the country, particularly in the central jungle, where I had begun my Anthropology work at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (1979–1983). This book is the first in a series of three research and publishing projects undertaken ten years ago." Mariella Villasante.
