The Displaced in Peru
With the publication of the book "Los desplazados en el Perú," the CICR aims to contribute to the efforts of many organizations and of the affected people themselves to place on the agenda a topic that goes beyond economic reparation and the promotion of development. Displacement raises the need to understand, first, that in Peru it has been a non-homogeneous process requiring attention according to the different degrees of harm suffered, and second, that it is a topic demanding recognition of the status of those affected by political violence. (Excerpt from the presentation).
