The Problem of Internally Displaced Persons Due to Political Violence and the International Community

In order to make the issue of internal displacement easy to understand, this university thesis has been structured in three parts, which offer a panorama of all the issues surrounding the topic of displacement. The First Title covers everything related to international protection of the human person. The Second Title addresses the problem of internal displacement from the perspective of the international community. The Third Title addresses the situation of internal displacement in Peru, attempting to place the displacement problem within the context of the political violence the country experienced since the incursion of Sendero Luminoso in 1980; as well as how the Peruvian State responded to the issue of displacement. It is worth noting that political violence as well as the corruption experienced in our country gave rise to the mandate of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación.
