Llocllapampa massacre: military kill 69 community members including women, elderly and children
The Lince 7 patrol, commanded by EP sub-lieutenant Telmo Hurtado, raided Llocllapampa. The soldiers rounded up the villagers, separated the men from the women, raped all the women, including the elderly, pregnant women and girls. Then they gathered the victims in the house of Cipriano Gamboa, shot them and set them on fire. A total of 69 community members were killed, including women, the elderly and children. This event had important repercussions and meant the end of the PCP-SL control in Accomarca. The news was published by El Diario on September 11, 1985.
