"Accomarca". Documentary
"Accomarca" is a documentary directed by French filmmaker Gaspard Moreau. In 2007, Moreau traveled through several communities in Ayacucho and learned firsthand the details of the Accomarca massacre. In 1985, a group of soldiers from the Peruvian Army extrajudicially executed 69 inhabitants of the village of Accomarca — men, women, and children — accusing them of being collaborators of the terrorist group Sendero Luminoso. The film reconstructs this story and attempts to account for the inaction of the state, as it was not until 25 years later that the authorship and responsibility of the army members identified as perpetrators of the crimes could be established.
