Murder of Juliana Baldeón García in Accomarca
80 year old woman killed by soldiers while trying to put out fire after Accomarca massacre
Around three o'clock in the afternoon of August 14, 1985, when the soldiers were about to leave Accomarca, they observed an old woman trying to put out the fire in the Gamboa de la Cruz house where the massacre had occurred. The soldiers began to shoot at her from a distance and when they missed, two soldiers returned to kill her, leaving her corpse at the scene. The victim was Juliana Baldeón García, 80 years old, mother of Benita Medina Baldeón.
