Fujimori and Former Ministers Criminally Charged in the Forced Sterilizations Case

Alberto Fujimori and his former ministers Marino Costa Bauer, Alejandro Aguinaga, and Eduardo Yong Motta are charged before the Primer Juzgado Penal Nacional as indirect perpetrators of the alleged commission of crimes against life, body, and health in the form of grievous bodily harm resulting in death in the context of serious violations of human rights in the cases of Mamérita Mestanza, Celia Ramos, and three other fatalities, due to the policy of Forced Sterilizations implemented during his government between 1996 and 2000. They are also charged with grievous bodily harm against Victoria Vigo, Inés Condori, and 2,164 other complainants. Published on November 13, 2018.
