Moving Forward. The Long Road of Development and Reconciliation
This publication presents the stories of four communities: Colpas in Huanuco, Ccatun Rumi on the border of Ayacucho and Cusco, Pajarillo in San Martín, and José Carlos Mariátegui in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima. A team from Paz y Esperanza traveled to those communities and was able to gather the stories of their residents and leaders, who directly experienced the hardship of an internal armed conflict they often did not understand, and who now face its aftermath. However, their very lives are also testimony to a constant, daily, and tireless search for recognition and consideration, a hard journey to be pulled out of marginalization, exclusion, and oblivion.
