Rescue for Memory. Sacsamarca

Between 1980 and 1983, Shining Path's power extended through the districts of Lucanamarca, Huancasancos, and Sacasamarca, building a regime in which violence and arbitrariness progressively cornered the population. The works presented here in their various formats constitute the direct testimony of the population, and in many cases of the protagonists themselves from that time when Sacsamarca confronted the Shining Path cause. It is therefore a testimonial and documentary compilation that presents, from experience and from direct memory, a popular account of the Peruvian armed conflict. Precisely for this reason, the historical value of these works is founded on their origin and their closeness to the events narrated and expressed in each of the categories of works.
