Reparation for Victims of the Armed Conflict in Peru: The Voice of the Victims
The Instituto de Defensa Legal, through its Governance and Rights Area, publishes this study on the perceptions of victims of political violence regarding the reparations process, in the communities of the Julcamarca district in the Huancavelica department, one of the areas most affected by the Peruvian internal armed conflict 1980-2000. We also hope to contribute to the dissemination of the history of Julcamarca during the period of political violence, the experiences lived by its protagonists, and something we consider very important: the recommendations they make to resolve many of the structural problems that gave rise to violence and which we believe the State should take into account.
