The Press and Journalists in Prison in the Period 1990-2000
The report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission shows us the twenty years of violence (1980–2000) that Peru lived through, during which the human rights of nearly seventy thousand Peruvians were violated. These twenty years were also marked by the impunity of crimes and harassment against journalists. The attacks range from killings, disappearances, torture, threats, harassment, and arbitrary detentions.
