The Crimes of Shining Path in Ayacucho
This report constitutes a complaint against Sendero Luminoso filed by the Ayacuchan congressman Alberto Valencia Cárdenas before the United Nations Human Rights Commission, headquartered in Geneva. Reading it constitutes a decisive argument in the United Nations' taking of a position regarding Peruvian terrorism. This document was presented on April 3, 1992, before the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva, two days before the coup d'état carried out in Peru by then-president Alberto Fujimori.
