Gonzalo, the myth. Notes toward an interpretation of the PCP
This essay is part of a research project entitled "Political Parties and the State in Peru," which the author has been developing in the Faculty of Fishing and Food Engineering at the Universidad Nacional del Callao. The text investigates the origins of the Partido Comunista del Perú, popularly known as Sendero Luminoso. Under this name, the PCP-SL waged an armed war against the state that left thousands of innocent victims.
