Peasants accused of the murders at Uchuraccay

The peasants accused of the Uchuraccay murders stand to hear their sentences. On March 9, 1987, a Special Tribunal issued a verdict convicting, on charges of simple homicide, Dionisio Morales, Mariano Ccasani, and Simeón Auccatoma to ten, eight, and six years in prison, respectively. On December 29 of the same year, Simeón Auccatoma Quispe died of tuberculosis in Lurigancho prison in Lima.
