Alan García admits crimes in Lurigancho and promises investigation and punishment of perpetrators
On June 27, 1986, President Alan Garcia Perez admitted that there was evidence of the commission of crimes in the Lurigancho prison by the Republican Guard and announced the beginning of an investigation aimed at punishing all those responsible for the massacre, with the famous phrase 'either all those responsible leave, or I leave'.
