Operation 'Mudanza Uno'
Operation 'Mudanza Uno' was a covert operation involving the transfer of prisoners in the Sendero Luminoso pavilions of the Canto Grande prison. During this operation, 35 inmates accused of terrorism were killed. The operation involved special forces that selectively eliminated members of the Sendero Luminoso Central Committee, and it was conducted in secrecy, preventing the public and international observers from recognizing it as a massacre.
Operación policial iniciada el 9 de marzo de 1992 en los pabellones senderistas del penal de Canto Grande, durante la cual murieron 35 reclusos acusados de terrorismo. Incluyó fuerzas especiales encubiertas que eliminaron selectivamente a miembros del Comité Central de Sendero Luminoso. El secreto mantenido y el manejo de prensa permitieron que esta matanza de reclusos no fuese identificada como tal por el público peruano ni por observadores internacionales.
