Peruvian Supreme Court annuls pardon of Alberto Fujimori
Peru's justice system declared on Wednesday that the pardon granted to former president Alberto Fujimori is inapplicable and ordered his return to prison. The annulment of the pardon was requested by the families of the victims of the massacres committed during Fujimori's administration. Judge Hugo Núñez Julca declared the request admissible and Fujimori must be returned to prison. Published on October 3, 2018.
