Fujimori denies the existence of death squads
Report from the program "Prensa Libre". During the trial of Alberto Fujimori for the crimes of Barrios Altos and La Cantuta, the then-imprisoned former president denied the existence of the Grupo Colina. He justified keeping General Nicolás Hermoza Ríos in command of the Army, despite allegations of the existence of an extermination squad, on the grounds that he had no evidence that the Grupo Colina actually existed. That session also produced an altercation between the relatives of the Grupo Colina's victims and Fujimorist supporters. Broadcast on December 17, 2007.
