"State of Fear". Pamela Yates. Complete film.
"Estado de miedo" (State of Fear) is a documentary film directed by Pamela Yates. Based on the work carried out by the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR), the documentary shows the human and social cost of the Peruvian internal armed conflict of 1980-2000. Through personal testimonies and original film footage, it tells the story of the violence that engulfed Peruvians for two decades at the hands of terrorist groups and state security forces, and how this situation led to a dictatorial-style government led by Alberto Fujimori, in which not only were human rights violated, but corruption ran rampant.
