"Las Otras Memorias" (The Other Memories) is a series of documentaries made for the web channel of the Museo virtual de Arte y Memorias, showing how artists, activists, and citizens, from different disciplines and artistic techniques, have expressed their memories of the years of violence in Peru. First installment: Mama Quilla, the collective of displaced women from Huaycán (Lima). Third installment: Graphics against the dictatorship. Álvaro Portales is a graphic artist whose work is confrontational and rebellious, and who has starkly portrayed the years of political violence and Fujimorismo.
