"A woman's womb" - Vientre de mujer. Documentary
"A Woman's Womb" (Vientre de mujer) is a documentary addressing the topic of forced sterilizations in Peru carried out during the government of the imprisoned former president Alberto Fujimori. Between 1995 and 2000, nearly 30,000 men and more than 270,000 women were forcibly sterilized. The film denounces the scandal of policies for voluntary or forced population control targeting the most vulnerable, primarily inhabitants of rural and peasant communities. Directed by Mathilde Damoisel.
