Peru After 15 Years of Violence (1980–1995)
The fifteen years of war with nearly thirty thousand dead, more than three thousand disappeared, at least half a million displaced, and several hundred who were recovered have profoundly shaken the very foundations of the country. In future analyses of a large number of social and political topics, references to a periodization of before and after Sendero Luminoso will be frequent. In this text, the author presents a list of topics and questions for what could serve as a research agenda on the consequences of 15 years of violence in Peruvian history.
