Peru Fears 'Colombianization'
Sendero Luminoso's transformation into a 'narco-guerrilla' forces the Government to revise its defense strategy — 'narcos' have killed 50 soldiers in one year. The great terror that Sendero Luminoso now instills is that it may emerge from the coca-growing valleys and Peru may suffer the levels of narco-violence experienced by Colombia and Mexico.
