Ombudsman's Report
There are nearly 7,000 complaints of forced disappearance. The Defensoría del Pueblo has just published a very important investigation into the phenomenon of forced disappearance in Peru between 1983 and 1996, which will undoubtedly contribute to bringing to light the truth about what occurred during those fateful years of political violence. We spoke with the Deputy People's Ombudsman for Human Rights, Gino Costa Santolalla, about the main findings.
