Clarification of the Interpretation and Scope of the Amnesty Granted by Law No. 26479
Article 1 of Law No. 26479 is interpreted in the sense that the general amnesty granted is of mandatory application by the Judicial Bodies and extends to all acts derived from or arising on the occasion of or as a consequence of the fight against terrorism, committed individually or in groups from May 1980 through June 14, 1995, regardless of whether the military, police, or civilian personnel involved have or have not been reported, investigated, subjected to criminal proceedings, or convicted; all pending or ongoing judicial cases being permanently archived in accordance with Article 6 of the aforementioned Law.
