"The Eye That Cries" is vandalized
A group of vandals, who identified themselves as followers of the imprisoned former president Alberto Fujimori, damaged the memorial "El ojo que llora" (The Eye That Cries), located in the Campo de Marte in Jesús María (Lima). The monument pays tribute to the memory of those who died in the internal armed conflict that took place in Peru between 1980 and 2000.
