Working Methodology in the Memory and Regional Identity Component
The Memory and Identity team began bibliographic research on the topic of violence in Huancavelica, and in November a researcher joined the team. That month, trips to Huancavelica began to conduct in-depth interviews with people who had been actors or witnesses to violence between 1980–2000, whether as former authorities, former civilian leaders, journalists, teachers, former or current officials of public or non-governmental entities in the department. The main criterion was their status as an information "source," not the fact that they had been victims.
