"Life as a Prize": A Study of the Interface in a Context of Historical Violence
The framework of this essay is a study of the community of Santa Bárbara to understand three elements of its cultural paradigm. We will see how the members of the community construct "the other." We will show how the members and social groups of the community weave the fabric of their identity. We will analyze how political violence has affected the social cohesion of the community and its capacity to build relationships among its individuals and social groups.
