Two Decades of Terror and Unpunished Crimes in the Hands of the Truth Commission
The memory and conscience of Peruvians demand the clarification of extrajudicial executions, disappearances, and other human rights violations perpetrated during the governments of Fernando Belaúnde Terry (1980-1985), Alan García Pérez (1985-1990), and the decade of Alberto Fujimori Fujimori (1990-2000). Faced with this outcry, the creation of the Truth Commission opens a hope for the bereaved.
