No to the Culture of Death

On the night of May 1st, hundreds of young Peruvians from the middle and upper classes noisily celebrated, in the streets of Miraflores, the national team's victory over the Colombian team and the death of Néstor Cerpa Cartolini, the commander of the MRTA unit. "He died, he died, Cerpa died" was one of the slogans most loudly chanted in the early hours of the morning. In other words, the atavistic and sinister cry of "Long live death," this time in Lima and from the throats of young people.
