The Founder of Shining Path Publishes an Autobiographical and Legal Book
Abimael Guzmán, the founder and supreme leader of Sendero Luminoso captured 17 years ago, wrote a book collecting documents, part of his autobiography, and his legal defense, his attorney Alfredo Crespo informed Efe today. The book, which will be presented today by the Sendero Luminoso leader's defense team, has 408 pages and was compiled by professor Elena Iparraguirre, his partner and the number two figure of the terrorist group. "It contains manuscripts by Dr. Guzmán related to his legal defense strategy, a defense conceived politically," said Crespo. Published on September 11, 2009.
