Victims' Organizations and Justice Policies. Building a Humanitarian Approach to the Search for Disappeared Persons.
On June 21, 2016, Law 30470, the Law on the Search for Disappeared Persons during the Period of Violence 1980–2000, was enacted, marking a paradigm shift in state intervention by incorporating a humanitarian approach. This research seeks to explain how the process of developing the public policy for searching for disappeared persons during Peru's internal armed conflict unfolded from a transitional justice perspective.
