Montoneras, Bandits and Peasant Patrols

"Montoneras, bandoleros y rondas campesinas" is a systematic study of high analytical elaboration that, while accounting for a political-social phenomenon whose actors operate fundamentally within the jurisdiction of the department of Cajamarca and particularly the current provinces of Chota, Cutervo, Santa Cruz, and Hualgayoc, also accounts for that phenomenon in a broader perspective, highlighting the complex network of articulations that local politics and society process with politics and society at the national level. In this way, through the research of José Pérez, we can also look at the country as a whole, at its intermittent and habitual factional confrontations that characterize the post-colonial country and at the consequences of various kinds associated with such confrontations.
