Violence and the Democratic Rule of Law
Since May 1985 and under the name "Comisión de Defensa de los Derechos de la Persona y Construcción de la Paz" (CODEPP), a group of about 40 people has been carrying forward the bold purpose of achieving full respect for the person and peace in our homeland. CODEPP published vigorous communiqués that have had profound resonance in public opinion. It is worthwhile to broaden this information and awareness-raising effort by offering the public, in printed texts, the presentations and arguments of panelists who participate in forum sessions, as well as the various research projects sponsored by CODEPP, to be examined and studied with greater care and depth. With this book, which gathers the presentations and arguments put forward at the forum "Violence and the Democratic Rule of Law," held between May 6 and 8, 1987, CODEPP begins its activity. (Excerpt from the presentation).
