We Are Remembering = Yuyachkanikum
Yuyachkanikum is an educational resource prepared using testimonies collected by the Defensorías Comunitarias of Huancavelica. These bodies carry out important work promoting and monitoring human rights in their communities and seek to contribute to the process initiated by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. As its name suggests, with Yuyachkanikum we will remember, through three stories, the way in which communal organization, family, and personal capacities helped us face political violence. This resource consists of a book with the stories written in Spanish and in the Ayacucho-Huancavelica Quechua variant, respecting the standards of the Ministry of Education for bilingual education in the country and with illustrations that make reading more engaging.
