A Look at the Truth. Perceptions of the Population of Huancavelica on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, 2002
Through "Una mirada a la verdad" (A Look at the Truth), we aim to contribute to the work carried out by the CVR and to initiatives that other entities may develop in the future, seeking to ensure that the most affected populations — also the poorest — are heard through their own visions and interpretations of their histories, their pain, and their possibilities. The publication offers the perceptions that certain authorities, male and female leaders, and individuals from three provinces and four communities in Huancavelica — affected in different ways, directly or indirectly, by political violence — hold with regard to the information and intervention processes that the CVR carried out up to March 2002, when the fieldwork phase of this qualitative research concluded.
