Corpse of the Sendero Luminoso member Maria Luisa Aroni Contreras (21), who died on June 20, 1986, when members of Sendero Luminoso attempted to attack the Convention Center of the Hotel Crillón in downtown Lima during the inauguration of the XVII Congress of the Socialist International. Aroni Contreras, originally from Apurímac, died when the homemade mortar exploded.
