March for Peace
Peace March held on November 3, 1989 in Lima. Various trade unions and members of the political class participated in it. From the late 1980s, the period of violence began to intensify in the city of Lima. Sendero Luminoso's offensive meant that the capital endured daily blackouts, targeted killings, and car bombs.
