Objects handed over by the Uchuraccay community members

Objects that the villagers of Uchuraccay handed over to the mixed patrol that arrived in the area the day after the murder of the eight journalists on January 26, 1983. The inhabitants gave members of the Guardia Civil and Marine infantry twelve rolls of film, a telephoto lens, and the press credentials of the eight slain journalists. Among these materials a flag bearing the Sendero Luminoso symbol was reportedly found. La República denied that information.
